Helen Chadwick A Singing Creative
A Three Day Singing Workshop
Friday Evening 28 -Monday Lunch 31 July 2023

This workshop is for singers who love Helen’s songs and who would enjoy being a part of her creative process from the inside.

Helen loves to do some of her composition work with singers in person rather than alone at the piano, so as to try out ideas and see how to develop them within a live experience – like being in rehearsal. Sometimes that is an evening at her house, sometimes weeks with actors, sometimes a weekend at Hill Cottage.

Last year on this workshop we developed several big fat songs over the weekend and had a wonderful time singing them together.

For this third Singing Creative, Helen will bring new and partly existing songs and vocal sketches that she wants to develop or complete over the weekend. Our sessions will be playful and concentrated, light-hearted and
heartfelt, personal and universal, simple and patterned. There is no need to read music, only to hold a part on your own and sing in tune.

All this will happen within the beautiful and welcoming setting of Hill Cottage where there will be time for walks and being in nature, and where we are supported by tasty nourishing food.

For this unique and rich experience to work, we ask that you are able to commit to getting to Hill Cottage Retreat Centre by 5.00 pm on Friday until Monday after lunch at 2.00 pm.
